Some images and videos to consider are
» Employees in action
» Charity events

» Something related to food
» Pictures with pets
» Celebrity tie-ins (the use of celebrities to extol the virtues of the products)
» Pictures of customers using products
» Colorful graphics taken from brochures, product pages, and other marketing
material
» Glamour shots of products
» Videos that communicate your company’s history
Have someone go into your company’s archives or digital folders and seek images
that may be forgotten. Just because it wasn’t already used on your website doesn’t
mean that it might not be right for Pinterest.
Drilling down with Guided Search
Pinterest wants to make it as easy as possible for you and your customers to find
exactly what they’re looking for. To that end, it offers Pinterest Guided Search for
iOS and Android. Guided Search is useful because it lets you drill down within a
category.
For example, say that your customer is looking for plants for her shaded patio.
First she types in shade and gets items including shade garden, shade plants, and
shade flowers. She chooses shade plants. Then she is shown additional categories
to pick from. These include perennial, outdoor, and container. She chooses con-
tainer and is presented with hundreds of pins that meet this criteria.
As a marketer, it’s important that you conduct these searches for products on
mobile devices. You want to know exactly what users will find and how you can
make it easy to find your products first.
