» Sponsored Mobile posts: When you access Tumblr on your mobile device,
you see Sponsored posts in your feed. These posts have been approved by
Tumblr and tested before they are posted.

» Sponsored Trending blogs: These posts are seen in your mobile feed when
you click the search icon at the bottom of your screen. This display is created
by Tumblr for you. You need to submit three representative posts, and they
are displayed as a Trending blog.

» Sponsored Radar: There is a section labeled Radar on the right side of your
dashboard. (Refer to Figure 15-11.) This is where sponsored Radar posts show
up. The post is very visible in the dashboard and gets some good exposure.

» Sponsored Spotlight: This type of post is chosen to be displayed by Tumblr
based on the value it has to the community. To have your post chosen, you
need to submit it no less than 24 hours before you plan to run it.

            Tracking Your Users

The quickest way to see follower activity is to click the dashboard item
called Activity in the Account section of your blog. Here, you can see the number
of followers you have. You can segment them based on when they began follow-
                           ing you.

Knowing when people started following you doesn’t tell you anything about how
engaged they are, but it does let you know that there are people actively reading
and appreciating your blog. Of course, other indications are your fan mail, com-
                           ments, and likes.

If you want more detailed information, you could add a Google Analytics
                           tracking code.
