Two kinds of Tumblr blog types are available to you, as follows:

» Primary: The first site you create is designated as your primary blog.
A primary blog has all the available features but can’t be made private.
You can gather likes, followers, and so on.
» Secondary: A secondary blog can be public or private. If you make it private,
it won’t have the social media functions such as follow and like.

For marketing purposes, you most likely want to start with a primary blog and get
it all set up and working before you branch out to other blogs. If your company is
small, one blog will probably suffice. Consider a secondary, private blog for your
team collaboration or working with other vendors or colleagues.
