It’s not news anymore that COVID had a huge impact on
eCommerce but the impact has been striking nonetheless.
With extreme peaks in eCommerce orders around the globe,
we are now shopping online more than ever.
Now that everything’s “back to normal” and people are
able to shop offline again, these numbers are dropping
slightly, but a general upward trend remains. For instance,
the average percentage of revenue earned by eCommerce
businesses is growing 20% year over year by the end of 2022.
What’s more, the COVID crisis made us painfully aware of
how dependent we are on deliveries from far-away countries
(which were often unable to fulfill those deliveries) and the
effect that transporting goods around the world has on the
