» Show work samples.
LinkedIn has added the ability for you to add your work samples to your profile.
Content types include video, images, podcasts, and so on. You should definitely
take advantage of this feature when you get started. This way you can highlight
your best work up front. You can add samples in the Summary, Education, and
Experience sections. This function replaces the built-in app section.

for a job using LinkedIn. LinkedIn makes it easy to access your connections from
your mobile devices. You’ll find free apps for the following:
» iPhone
» iPad (iPad 2 and higher)
» Android
For more detailed information about marketing with mobile, see Chapter 23.
Finding connections
LinkedIn helps you easily get started in finding new connections. One way to start
is to click the Connections navigation item in the My Network section. You have
several options to choose from. You can find colleagues from your various email
programs such as Outlook, classmates from your educational institutions, or peo-
ple you may know from nonprofits or clubs all by using the Search with filters
functionality.
As you’re presented with lists of these contacts, go through and choose the ones
you want. Be certain to deselect the Share All check box so that you do not send
invitations to people who don’t belong in your network but are on your email lists.

advertising from seeming intrusive. When you’re on the site, you can create ads of
the following type:
