                  home page.

If you have used LinkedIn for a while or know that you will be using your account
for something specific such as an immediate job search, you may want to consider
joining at a premium level. (See the section called “Finding a Job,” later in this
                             chapter.)

You have a series of sales-oriented account tools at your disposal as well. The lines
between marketing and sales blur here but these tools are most helpful when
you’re attempting to reach a smaller set of people who are closer to buying your
                               product or service:

» Access to more profiles when you search: A premium account allows you
to see more profiles than you would if you had a free account. This access to
more profiles increases the likelihood that you will find the right person to
                                 connect with.

» Search filters: You can apply a variety of filters to your search so that you can
zero in on the right target. For example, you can search for people who work
for a certain size company or target only the Fortune 1000. Search filters are
especially helpful to find the exact types of people you need to reach.
