Voice searches are typically longer than text searches. People use conversational
language that includes lots of filler words. Make sure to account for the fact that
they will use more than just keywords and phrases.
» Improve site performance: Customers won’t wait around for your page to
load. Whether they are on a mobile device or voice assistant, make sure that
your content loads in 4.6 seconds or faster.
» Accommodate user intent: Make sure you prepare content for phrases
that have buying words in them such as “how much” or “what is the cost?”
These indicate the user intent to consider buying, and you want to help them
do that.
» Be aware of the buyer’s journey for mobile as well as smart speakers:
Just like with regular SEO content, make sure to have voice searches mobile-
ready for each stage of the buyer’s journey. Your users are already doing this.
Helping them get all the information they need to buy from any channel on
any device is still the name of the game.
